Accord Architecture

The Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino in Opelousas, Louisiana has so much to offer the gambling enthusiast. Now, they will have a place for them to stay while they enjoy the casino and all the dining amenities as well. Accord's design of this 117 room hotel includes presidential suites, a variety of mid-size suites, single rooms and a large meeting space. All of this is connected to directly to the casino.

Accord designed this new hotel in 2009 and it is scheduled for construction completion in the summer of 2010.

Accord's parent company, Henkel Construction, was hired in 2005 to construct a new casino just south of the Minnesota-Iowa state line near Northwood, Iowa on I-35. In addition to this, Accord (and Henkel) were hired to design and construct a 100+ guest room hotel attached to the casino. The Owner/Manager of the hotel determined that a Country Inn & Suites would be the best fit for this location, so Accord utilized prototype designs for CI&S hotels and merged those designs into the location with the required connection to the casino. Furthermore, the Owner requested many modifications to the CI&S prototype designs to customize the project. In addition to guest rooms, this four-story hotel includes a pool, large meeting room(s), lobby and laundry areas.
