Accord Architecture

In 2001, Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton, Iowa was experiencing growth in hospital services from an outpatient standpoint, thus requiring growth of supporting departments within the hospital. The existing Laboratory department was too small to provide the efficiency needed. Accord's design expanded the lab and enhanced the outpatient support functions, such as phlebotomy and lab reception.

As part of the hospital-wide expansion and renovation of Floyd County Memorial Hospital, Accord Architecture designed a new laboratory project spanning from renovated space in the existing building well into the new addition on the front of the hospital. The lab area is in close proximity to ER, OR, Radiology and Specialty Clinic areas.
