Mercy Family Clinic - NH
Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton hired Accord and Henkel to design and build this new Family Clinic on the hospital campus in New Hampton. Construction occurred in August of 2008 on this 10,000 SF clinic which is attached to the hospital's north end. This clinic helped the hospital recruit new physicians. The clinic has 7 providers with 18 exam rooms, a lab, deitition areas, procedure rooms and more. A beautiful, tall lobby space highlights the entry along with a curved canopy and brick/stone exterior and interior materials. This clinic is an excellent blend of new and old. The clinic ties in with the original hospital design well.
Included in this project is a design for a new drive-under canopy for the hospital's main entrance. This design is very similar to the design of the clinic canopy and will help way-finding while creating overall unity in the building exterior appearance.
Prairie Ridge Add. Treatment
In the mid-90's, Accord was retained by Prairie Ridge Addiction Treatment Center to provide a new free-standing treatment facility on the west side of Mason City, Iowa near the Mercy Medical Center West Campus. This beautiful facility serves inpatients and outpatients dealing with various addictions.
In 2003, Accord was again retained by Prairie Ridge to design two additions which were needed due to the growth of their business. Accord designed a new Cafeteria area and larger group meeting spaces, as well as additional record storage and office space. The new addition was melted into the existing design through the use of matching materials and building form to make the distinction between original building and addition un-noticeable.
MMCNH Specialty Clinic
In 2001, Accord designed a new addition for Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton, Iowa. This addition to the hospital includes a new Specialty clinic for outpatient functions. As part of this Specialty Clinic department, 10 exam rooms and two procedure rooms are provided, including a sub-nurse station that views the clinic corridor. In 2008, Accord was again hired for a new family clinic addition to the hospital. Refer to this website for more information about that project.
